About the Golden Expo

The PNG Resources Golden Exhibition is Papua New Guinea’s premier resources showcase, marking 50 years of achievements in mining, petroleum, and energy. It highlights the sector’s contributions to economic growth, infrastructure, workforce development, community projects, and sustainability initiatives.

The Exhibition brings together industry stakeholders, government leaders and policymakers, PNG CORE member companies, Students and Universities, Communities and general public and Development partners to reflect on past successes and shape the future of PNG’s resource sector.

Following the success of the 2025 Golden Exhibition, which hosted 22 exhibitors and over 20,000 visitors, the 2026 edition offers expanded exhibits, interactive displays, and enhanced engagement programs.

Purpose and Objectives

The PNG Resources Golden Exhibition aims to:

  • Showcase the future potential of PNG’s resources and energy sector
  • Demonstrate sector contributions to national development
  • Inspire youth and future professionals
  • Preserve and reflect on PNG’s cultural identity within modernization
  • Promote collaboration between government, industry, and communities
  • Align with national celebrations including the PNG Games (Southern Highlands), community festivals, and major infrastructure launches
